Remote Employee Monitoring

Remote employee monitoring software
for
distributed teams

Remote employee monitoring software shows how distributed teams spend work time across apps and websites. Managers can spot overload, idle stretches and coverage gaps without constant check-ins. Intelogos does this with privacy-first agents and answers questions about remote work patterns in plain language. It is employee monitoring software built for teams that don't share an office.

Signals, not check-ins

How do you know remote employees are working without micromanaging?

Read a few signals over time instead of asking for updates: availability against expected hours, active time, the apps and websites the work happens in, and overload markers from AI reports. Intelogos collects them from an agent on each work computer, so nobody sends a daily check-in.

  • Availability against expected hours

Availability is tracked work time divided by expected work time. Set work hours policies for the company or per team, and time reports highlight each person's hours against them, day by day.

    Availability KPI
  • Active time, not online time

Activity is the share of tracked seconds with mouse or keyboard input; 20 to 50% is typical, and a reading near 100% can point to a mouse jiggler. Idle stretches show as idle time, with the threshold your admins choose.

    Activity KPI
  • The apps and websites the work happens in

Each Profile and the Tools page show time per app and website, categorized as Primary, Secondary, Distracting or Neutral per department. Engagement is the share of tracked time in Primary and Secondary tools.

    Engagement KPI
  • Overload signals from AI reports

Generate Insights writes an AI report from the page you are viewing: tool usage, behavioral patterns such as unusual activity, after-hours work or sudden changes, and burnout and engagement risks with severity levels. On the AI Intelligence plan, Ask AI answers questions such as whether anyone might be at risk of burnout.

What managers see

What does Intelogos show for remote teams?

Availability, active time, app usage and overload markers for each person, in their local time zone: who is on and when today, how the week compares with expected hours, and how the KPIs move over weeks.

How it works

How do you roll it out without hurting trust?

Tell people what the agent records and why before it goes live, show them their own data, and give people on personal computers the visible agent. Five steps, each backed by the help center or a template on this site.

  1. 1

Write the notice and policy first

Say what the agent records (apps, websites, window titles, active and idle time, whether keyboard or mouse input happened) and what it never captures (screenshots, what people type), who can see the data and what it is used for. Collect an acknowledgement before tracking starts.

  2. 2

Check the notice rules where people work

A remote team can span several states or countries. Some US states require notice before electronic monitoring, and the help center says it is the company's responsibility to inform employees when background agents are in place.

  3. 3

Use the visible desktop agent where it helps

Background agents suit company-owned computers. People on personal computers install the desktop agent from an invitation email, see its menu bar or tray icon and can start, stop or quit it, so only work time is captured.

  4. 4

Let people see their own data

Regular users see their own time, or their time, activity, tool usage and KPIs, depending on an account-wide setting. Managers see only the people, departments or projects assigned to them, and nobody sees screenshots, because there are none.

    Review trends, not single afternoons

Compare weeks and talk to the person before drawing conclusions. Idle time has legitimate causes, from calls to reading, and the idle threshold you set (10, 20, 30 or 60 minutes) decides what counts as idle in the first place.

Distributed teams

Does it work across time zones and with contractors?

Yes on time zones: every KPI is calculated in each person's local time zone, and work hours policies are set per company or team. For contractors and anyone else on a personal computer, use the visible desktop agent they control.

Time zones

KPIs are calculated in each person's local time zone, so a nine-to-five in Lisbon and a nine-to-five in Manila both read as full Availability. The Daily page shows everyone's day in the time zone set in your own settings, which is where coverage gaps become visible.

Work hours policies

Set expected hours for the company or per team; Availability and Productivity are measured against them. Intelogos also records time worked, breaks and idle time and exports time reports to CSV. It doesn't run payroll or client billing.

Contractors and personal computers

Contractors aren't a separate user type. People who work on personal computers, such as contractors, install the visible desktop agent from an invitation email and can start, stop or quit it, so only work time is captured. Background agents stay on company-owned Windows and Mac computers, and both types can run in one organization.

Who it's for

Who is Intelogos for?

Intelogos is remote employee monitoring software for managers who want signals and answers, not screenshots. It fits these teams best.

  • Remote and hybrid teams across time zones that want Availability, active time and app usage without daily check-ins.

  • Managers who want to spot overload and coverage gaps from weekly trends and AI reports rather than from status updates.

  • Companies that roll out with notice, show remote employees their own data and use the visible desktop agent where it fits.

  • Teams mixing company laptops and contractors' own computers: background agents for the first, the desktop agent for the second.

  • Managers who want plain-language answers about remote work patterns from Ask AI on the AI Intelligence plan.
