What is software usage tracking?
Software usage tracking measures which applications, websites and SaaS tools people actually use at work, for how long and how actively, so decisions about adoption and renewals rest on evidence.
Intelogos collects this automatically through a desktop or background agent, lists every app and website it detects and lets you classify each one as primary, secondary, distracting or neutral. It measures usage only: it doesn't manage SaaS contracts, license counts or spend. Deploy the tracking agent
Employees install the desktop agent, or admins deploy background agents to company computers with scripts or MDM tools. The agent records which applications and websites are used, for how long, and keyboard and mouse activity.

Classify your tools
Mark each tool as primary, secondary, distracting or neutral, per department where teams work differently, and give it a time category such as Development or Communication. Tools Intelogos doesn't recognize start as neutral.

Drill into people and tools
Click a tool on the Dashboard to see who used it and for how long. Each Profile shows the tools one person uses, and Chronicle lists every tool and window session with total and active time.

Share usage before renewals
Build an advanced report with each person's time and activity by tool importance or category, export it to CSV or Excel, or schedule it by email. Compare it with your license list to decide what to renew, reassign or cancel.

See Who Uses Each Tool
Click a tool on the Dashboard to see who used it and for how long. Advanced reports break down each person's time and activity by tool importance, down to individual tools, or by tool category, and export to CSV or Excel.
Active Use, Not Just Open Windows
Activity measures keyboard and mouse interaction inside each tool, and each tool is rated high, medium or low engagement. A primary tool that people open but barely interact with can point to barriers or training needs.
Adoption Over Time
Compare date ranges on the Tools page, or chart raw data KPIs such as primary or neutral tools time on the Dashboard. On the AI Intelligence plan, Ask AI can compare time spent in a tool with last month.

Keyword Notifications
Get an email when someone uses a tool or opens a window whose name matches keywords you choose, for example a tool you're phasing out.
Scheduled Usage Summaries
Receive a daily, weekly or monthly email with the top tools in each importance category and engagement level, filtered by department, project or manager.
